Product Description | This antibody was developed and affinity purified using a peptide based on the human p53 sequence (4-40 aa) . The antibody was conjugated to peroxidase (HRP) via reductive amination. It was tested to detect the human p53 specifically in human cell and tissue. Scientific Description | P53 (tumour protein 53 or TP53) regulates the cell cycle by acting as a transcription factor. It suppresses tumours and hence it is often described as "the guardian of the genome", "the guardian angel gene", or the "master watchman". This is referring to its role in conserving stability by preventing genome mutation. P53 refers to its molecular mass (53 kDa) on SDS-PAGE. | ||
